Eleanor Greenwood is a young start on the rise and we are lucky enough to be able to have her perform for us this year before she sets off on some exciting overseas engagements.

She has received wonderful reviews from international critics who have called her performances “moving, mysterious” (Wexford) Opera Today, “Remarkable clarity, expressivity and flexibility.” And “An outstanding young Australian Mezzo.”

Eleanor Greenwood made her start at the International Opera Festival in Wexford, Ireland. She is the recipient of numerous major singing Competition scholarships and awards.

In April, she will tour China with the Australian International Opera Company, and in May she has been engaged to sing the Magnificent Weichnachts-Oratorium by JS Bach, with a specialist group – Bach Society of St Louis in the USA.

It’s been an exciting time for Eleanor since winning the prestigious Australasian Opera Competition at the Sydney Eisteddfod with her time in Berlin a great learning experience.
