Our vision is to produce fine music in the country

Opera North West Ltd is a non profit company with Deductible Gift and Tax Charity Concession Status. As a regionally based company, the vision is to produce fine music in the country. Through your support, Opera North West will continue to present fine quality performances and artists to country audiences at an accessible price.

The company is committed to provide much needed professional performance opportunities for young singers and instrumentalists who perform alongside the more established professionals. As such, Opera in the Paddock and other Opera North West concerts and events have become much sought after performance avenues for artists.

Young singers view the event, in particular, as a valued platform on which to perform.  Over the years, the company has showcased a number of young artists. Bingara soprano, Lexi Hutton was fortunate to gain a private sponsor from her performance in the 2009 event.  Subsequently, Lexi studied at the Royal College of Music in London. On gaining second place in the presitigious Belvedere competition in Vienna, she gained a young artist contract with Deustsche Opera, Berlin.  Lexi  has performed with the Deutsche Opera, Berlin  since 2013.

Elizabeth Lewis now soprano, formerly mezzo soprano performs with the company in 2016 . Most recently, Elizabeth has won the  Opera Foundation forYoung Australians Lady Fairfax New York Scholarship which she will take up in September. We are delighted that Elizabeth will join us  for the 2016 performances.
